Southern Waters Custom Development Work
Meg created a special document library set up for managing documents.
She did this by creating a custom post type with templated specific fields to display different types of documents.
This was designed so that all the documents can be used in different ways.
Such as:
- Downloadable
- Readable online
- Searchable within the documents library.
To make it easy for people to find what they want, particularly as the volume of content in the library grows.
Cool document library functionality
- Easy to add new things to the document library
- All types of content have their own home to go to and won’t get jumbled up with other documents.
- Filterable to show documents in the category that users are looking for.
- Documents in the library have their own kind of database, so it is easy to search for and find them.
- A Template was used to give flexibility on how documents can be displayed.
- The document library isn’t limited to just PDFs; it can hold everything from articles to simple and complex links with more context that could be specifically useful for a project or client.
Set up and integration of Mailer Lite
Meg handled the full Mailer Lite account setup and integration with the website. Meg also provided a how-to tutorial so that the team could set up the base template and send an initial email before handing over the reins to the Southern Waters team
Southern Waters will take over delivering water services on 1 July 2027.
